Negros Oriental Scooter Tour
Take a day trip around Negros Oriental. Travel the local countryside past acres of Sugar Cane fields, through rice paddies and up the mountain by scooter. Visit the World War II monuments to the fallen. Stop along the way for scenic pictures of local craftsmen, ocean views and native markets. This is a 4-6-hour scooter trip with stops for refreshments, a rough road/no road adventure, NOT recommended for someone who has never ridden a motorcycle before. A two-hour orientation and practice is included for everyone.

Lake Balanan Tour
Lake Balanan is a beautiful mountain lake that was created by landslide caused by an earthquake in the 1920s. This landslide created a fresh water lake in the shape of the numeral eight. Lake Balanan, which is a community managed and protected resource, is the pride of Siaton, Negros oriental. The ride up the narrow road to Balanan Lake is not a difficult one tho for some it is challenging. The road, as most rural roads do in the Philippines, alternates from smooth concrete and rough unpaved stretches. The scenery on the climbing ride is some of the most beautiful in the Southern part of Negros Oriental. Fertile river valleys, distant rice plantations dotted with banana trees, coconut trees and Nipa Huts. At the lake you will find small cool pools to swim in, giant Banyan trees, floating cottages and scenic hiking trails.

Malatapay Market Tour (every Wednesday)
Let Monarch Sands Resorts expert guides take you on a safari of sounds, smells an sites when you experience the local Philippine markets of Malatapay. Located 30 minutes south of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. The Malatapay Market is the gateway to Apo island and the which are open on Wednesdays only. Get to barter with local tradesmen for their wares, avail of of good deals and fresh food, or stock up on souvenirs at local stands.

Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, City Tour
Ride Monarch Sands Beach Resort'svan around the City of Gentle people, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. Sit back and enjoy the ride,as our van passes sugar cane fields, rice paddies and grazing Caraboas. Our guide will take you on a tour of Dumaguete Market, Cathedral, Freedom Park, Clay town and Sidlakan Village. Lunch on Dumaguete famous Boulevard, then a stop at Robinson's Mall.
